Hi everyone! My name is Rusty Coonfield and here is my BLOG. That's short for "weblog" to you. Kind of like an online journal which may or may not include subjects like: how to use a Macintosh computer, cool and useful websites, new technologies, photos of outdoor pursuits and my family and friends. Please add you comments and have fun! -Rusty

Holy Krap! Skydiving is the most amazing, thrilling, incredible, scary thing you could ever do!

Jennifer, Justin Moix , Savannah and I all went over to Mike Mullin's dropzone in Tennessee today to skydive for the first time.

I'm sad to say that only three of us made it...

into the plane that is.

Savannah, commendably, despite loads of pressure over many days opted to sit this one out.
When I saw those first guys go out the door and knew I was next I was wondering what the heck I had gotten myself into and that Savannah was right! Luckily there wasn't much time to ponder the situation and before I knew it I was out the door of the King Air at 14,500 feet.

That's 14 THOUSAND feet above the ground!!! And accelerating to 120 mph, too!

Evident in her video and photos - Jennifer displayed no fear and rallied our crew of tandem jump instructors, cameramen and pilot into a ruckus and had them singing to her on the way up.

We even saw a fellow pilot there, Carl Finch from Little Rock was there with his wife and friends.

I could go on and on but suffice to say I have rafted dangerous rivers, jumped off of 100" cliffs into water, crashed motorcycles after going way to fast, rolled end over end 3 times in a truck, watched 100' walls of flame race up the hillside I was on, and even hung under a helicopter in flight...
But the intensity of skydiving put it all to shame and I am still grinning.*

Here's a teaser video. Will have more photos and video up soon.

*Jeez, sounds like I'm some adrenaline junky or something!
